The cross is my source of forgiveness and it empowers me to forgive others. Consider Hebrews 9:22 – “Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.” But once the pure blood of Christ was shed, sins were forgiven and forgiveness was available to all who put their faith in Christ. Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ God forgave you.” (New International Version) So just who can you forgive? You can forgive:
- The lazy coworkers you see at the shop every day.
- Your arrogant boss.
- The people who cheat the government.
- Your bad neighbors.
- Your mean family members.
- The people who cheat on their taxes.
- Selfish people.
- Murderers.
- Child molesters.
- And you can forgive yourself for your failings.
